Water Supply and Descrbuted System in Django Python
Abstract:
Efficient management of water supply and its distribution is crucial for municipalities, communities, and housing societies. This project focuses on developing a Water Supply and Distributed System in Django Python, designed to monitor, manage, and streamline water supply operations. The system allows administrators to plan distribution schedules, track water usage, manage consumer accounts, and record complaints, while residents can view supply timings, receive notifications, and pay bills online. Built using Django with a PostgreSQL/MySQL database, the platform ensures secure authentication, accurate data management, and a user-friendly interface for both administrators and consumers.
Existing System:
Traditionally, water supply schedules, billing, and complaint tracking are managed manually, leading to inefficiency, delays, and lack of transparency. Existing systems may lack centralized tracking of water distribution, resulting in mismanagement of resources, delayed complaint resolution, and no real-time updates to consumers.
Proposed System:
The proposed Water Supply and Distributed System in Django Python provides a centralized platform where administrators can manage distribution schedules, water meters, and billing details, while also tracking maintenance activities. Consumers can register online, check supply schedules, pay bills securely, and lodge complaints about service issues. Features such as real-time supply notifications, analytics dashboards, automated billing, and integration with IoT-enabled water meters can further enhance the system. By digitizing water supply management, the platform increases transparency, reduces manual workload, and improves service delivery to residents.
