Abstract:
Learning new skills often requires access to resources or mentors, which may be costly or inaccessible. This project focuses on developing SkillSwap – A Peer-to-Peer Skill Exchange Platform in Django Python, designed to allow users to exchange skills with each other in a collaborative environment. The system enables users to register their skills, search for other users offering complementary skills, schedule sessions, and provide feedback after learning. Built using Django with a PostgreSQL/MySQL database, the platform ensures secure authentication, easy skill matching, and a user-friendly interface for seamless peer-to-peer learning.
Existing System:
Traditional skill learning relies on formal classes, workshops, or online courses, which can be expensive, time-constrained, or limited in scope. Existing platforms often focus on paid courses rather than enabling direct peer-to-peer skill exchange, reducing flexibility and community engagement.

Proposed System:
The proposed SkillSwap Platform in Django Python provides a centralized platform where users can create profiles, list their skills, and browse available skills offered by peers. Users can send requests to exchange skills, schedule sessions, and rate or review each other after completion. Administrators can monitor user activity, verify profiles, and manage disputes. Additional features like chat integration, calendar scheduling, and notifications enhance user experience. By enabling peer-to-peer skill exchange, the system promotes community learning, reduces learning costs, and encourages knowledge sharing in a flexible and interactive environment
