Abstract
The School Management System is a PHP–MySQL based web application designed to automate and integrate all core functions of a school into a single digital platform. The system enables administrators to manage student admissions, attendance, exams, staff records, fees, timetables, and reporting. Teachers can update marks, track student performance, and communicate with parents, while students and parents can view timetables, results, and fee status online. By centralizing school operations, the system increases efficiency, reduces paperwork, and improves communication between school stakeholders.

Existing System
Most schools still rely on manual processes or separate tools for managing admissions, attendance, exams, and communication. Data is often recorded in physical registers or spreadsheets, which makes it hard to track, update, and secure. This leads to errors, delays in decision-making, poor communication with parents, and difficulty in generating reports. Multiple systems working independently also increase costs and complexity for the school.

Proposed System

The proposed School Management System in PHP integrates all school operations into one unified online platform. Administrators can manage student and staff records, fee collection, exam scheduling, attendance, and transport details. Teachers can upload marks, generate progress reports, and communicate with parents. Parents and students can log in to view attendance, results, and other updates. The system also offers automated notifications, dashboards for performance analysis, and data backup for long-term record keeping. By providing a secure, centralized, and user-friendly interface, the system saves time, reduces errors, and enhances the quality of school management and parent–teacher interaction.
