Abstract
The Online Projects Viva System is a PHP–MySQL based web application designed to conduct viva voce examinations for student projects online. The system allows administrators and faculty to schedule vivas, evaluate students remotely, and record scores and feedback digitally. Students can log in to upload project details, attend online viva sessions, and view results. By automating viva management, the system reduces administrative effort, increases transparency, and improves the overall evaluation process.

Existing System
In the existing system, project viva sessions are conducted in-person, requiring physical presence of both students and evaluators. Scheduling and managing multiple viva sessions manually can be time-consuming and prone to errors. Faculty members often maintain scores and feedback on paper or spreadsheets, leading to difficulties in data management, delays in result compilation, and lack of centralized records. This traditional approach also limits flexibility for students and evaluators located in different places.

Proposed System

The proposed Online Projects Viva System automates the entire viva examination process using PHP and MySQL. Administrators can schedule viva dates, assign examiners, and manage student lists online. Students can submit their project details, upload documents or presentations, and attend viva sessions via integrated video/conference tools (or mark attendance for in-system evaluation). Faculty can record marks and feedback directly into the system, which then generates instant results and performance reports. The system also keeps a secure, centralized database of all viva records for future reference. By providing a user-friendly, secure, and centralized platform, the system simplifies coordination, enhances transparency, and makes viva assessments more efficient.
