The Online Pharmacy Management System is a PHP–MySQL based web application designed to digitize the operations of a pharmacy and make medicines easily accessible to customers. The system allows administrators to manage medicine inventory, suppliers, customer orders, and secure online payments. Customers can browse medicines, upload prescriptions (if required), place orders, and track delivery status. By integrating sales, inventory, and order management in one platform, the system improves efficiency, reduces manual errors, and provides a seamless experience for customers and pharmacy staff.

Existing System
In the existing system, most pharmacies manage sales and stock manually or use basic offline tools. Customers must visit the pharmacy physically to buy medicines, and inventory updates are often slow or inaccurate. Manual billing, record keeping, and lack of digital access to stock information result in inefficiencies. For customers, the process is inconvenient, especially in emergencies or for those living in remote areas. This traditional setup limits scalability, transparency, and speed of service.

Proposed System

The proposed Online Pharmacy Management System automates pharmacy operations using PHP and MySQL. Administrators or pharmacy staff can manage medicine inventory, suppliers, and categories online. Customers can log in to browse medicines, upload prescriptions, place orders, and pay securely online. The system tracks order status (pending, approved, dispatched, delivered) and sends notifications to customers. It also generates real-time reports on stock, sales, and customer activity to support data-driven decisions. By providing a centralized, secure, and user-friendly platform, the system improves service quality, reduces manual errors, and makes medicines more accessible to customers.
