Abstract
The Online Medicine Donation System is a PHP–MySQL based web application designed to facilitate the donation of unused or surplus medicines to NGOs, hospitals, or individuals in need. The system enables donors to register, list available medicines, and schedule donations, while recipients can browse medicines, request them, and track delivery. Administrators can verify donor and recipient details, manage donations, and generate reports. By digitizing the donation process, the system helps reduce medicine wastage, improves public health support, and makes the distribution process transparent and efficient.

Existing System
In the existing system, medicine donations are mostly handled manually through local charities, word-of-mouth, or informal arrangements. This approach lacks a centralized platform, making it difficult to match donors with recipients. Verification of medicine safety, donor authenticity, and tracking of donations is also limited. This leads to inefficiencies, delays, and sometimes wastage or misuse of medicines due to lack of proper oversight.

Proposed System

The proposed Online Medicine Donation System automates the entire donation process using PHP and MySQL. Donors can register, upload details about medicines (name, expiry date, quantity, and condition), and schedule pickup or drop-off. Recipients (NGOs, hospitals, or individuals) can log in to browse available medicines, request donations, and track approvals. Administrators can verify medicines, manage user authenticity, approve or reject donation requests, and maintain a secure, centralized record of all transactions. The system also generates reports on donated medicines, recipients, and overall impact. By providing a structured, secure, and user-friendly platform, the system increases transparency, minimizes medicine wastage, and ensures that essential medicines reach those in need on time.
