The Online Bus Pass System is a PHP–MySQL based web application designed to automate the process of applying for, renewing, and managing bus passes for passengers. This system allows commuters to register online, submit required details, make digital payments, and receive e-passes. Administrators can verify applications, approve or reject requests, and maintain a centralized record of all active and expired passes. By digitizing the bus pass process, the system reduces paperwork, saves time, and increases convenience for both passengers and transport authorities.

Existing System
In the existing system, bus passes are issued manually at transport offices. Commuters must visit the office, fill out paper forms, and wait in queues for verification and approval. This manual process leads to delays, data inaccuracies, and difficulties in tracking pass validity and renewals. Additionally, cash-based payments are time-consuming and harder to audit, resulting in inefficiencies and potential misuse of funds.

Proposed System

The proposed Online Bus Pass System automates the entire process of issuing and managing bus passes using PHP and MySQL. Passengers can register online, upload documents, pay digitally, and download their bus pass or carry an e-pass on their mobile devices. Administrators can verify details, approve applications, manage renewals, and generate real-time reports on issued and expired passes. The system also sends notifications for renewals and maintains a secure, centralized database of all records.
