Abstract
The Old Age Home Management System is a PHP–MySQL based web application developed to efficiently manage the operations of old age homes. The system allows administrators to handle resident details, staff management, health records, donations, and daily activities in a centralized manner. Donors and volunteers can also register and contribute online. By digitizing operations, the system improves transparency, record-keeping, and resource allocation while ensuring better care and management for residents.

Existing System
In the existing system, old age home management is usually done manually using paper files, registers, and spreadsheets. Resident details, medical records, donations, and staff schedules are handled offline, which is time-consuming and prone to errors. There is limited coordination between staff members, and generating reports or tracking donations requires significant effort. This manual approach leads to inefficiencies, delayed services, and difficulty maintaining accurate records.

Proposed System

The proposed Old Age Home Management System automates all core activities using PHP and MySQL. Administrators can manage resident profiles, track medical histories, schedule staff duties, and record donations in a centralized database. Donors can contribute online, and volunteers can register to participate in events or provide services. The system can also generate reports on resident activities, staff schedules, donations, and expenses for better planning and transparency. By providing a secure, centralized, and user-friendly platform, the system enhances operational efficiency, ensures accurate record-keeping, improves service delivery to residents, and strengthens communication between the old age home and stakeholders.
