The Inventory Management System is a PHP–MySQL based web application developed to manage and track an organization’s inventory efficiently. This system helps in maintaining accurate records of products, stock levels, suppliers, and orders. Administrators can monitor stock availability, generate purchase orders, and track sales or product movement in real time. By automating inventory operations, the system reduces manual effort, prevents errors, ensures timely restocking, and provides comprehensive reports to aid in decision-making.

Existing System
In the existing system, inventory management is often handled manually through paper-based records, spreadsheets, or standalone offline software. This approach is prone to errors, delays, and difficulty in maintaining real-time stock information. Organizations face challenges in tracking product movement, monitoring stock levels, managing suppliers, or generating accurate reports. The lack of automation increases the workload for staff, delays replenishment, and can lead to either stock-outs or overstocking.

Proposed System

The proposed Inventory Management System automates all inventory-related operations using PHP and MySQL. Administrators can log in to add, edit, or remove products, track stock levels, manage supplier information, and process orders. The system provides alerts for low stock, maintains a detailed transaction history, and generates reports on product availability, sales trends, and supplier performance. By providing a centralized, secure, and real-time platform, the system improves accuracy, reduces operational costs, and streamlines inventory management, allowing organizations to respond efficiently to stock demands.
