The Hospital Treatment Appointment Management System is a PHP–MySQL based web application designed to streamline the process of booking, managing, and tracking patient appointments for various treatments in hospitals or clinics. This system provides a centralized platform where patients can view available doctors, select treatment types, and book appointments online. Administrators and doctors can manage schedules, confirm or reschedule appointments, and maintain patient treatment records. By digitizing the appointment process, the system reduces manual workload, minimizes waiting times, and improves patient satisfaction.

Existing System
Currently, most hospitals and clinics still use manual processes or phone calls to handle treatment appointments. Patients often have to visit the hospital physically or call reception to book appointments, which leads to long waiting queues, scheduling conflicts, and poor time management. Staff struggle to maintain accurate records of patient appointments and doctor availability. Rescheduling or cancelling appointments often results in confusion due to the absence of an integrated system. This traditional approach leads to inefficiency, delayed treatments, and lower patient satisfaction.

Proposed System

The proposed Hospital Treatment Appointment Management System automates and centralizes the appointment process using PHP and MySQL. Patients can register and log in to view doctors, treatment categories, available time slots, and book appointments online. Doctors and administrators can manage their schedules, approve or reschedule appointments, and keep track of patient treatment history. The system can send automated notifications or emails for appointment confirmations and reminders. It also generates reports of booked, pending, and completed appointments for hospital management. By providing a secure, centralized, and user-friendly interface, the system enhances efficiency, reduces errors, and improves the overall treatment and appointment experience for both patients and hospital staff.
