Administrators or concerned authorities can review, prioritize, and resolve issues efficiently. By digitizing the grievance process, the system increases transparency, accountability, and responsiveness, ensuring that complaints are handled in an organized and time-bound manner.
Existing System
In the existing system, grievances are usually submitted manually through paper forms, phone calls, or in-person meetings. This manual approach results in delayed responses, lack of proper documentation, and difficulty in tracking the status of complaints. There is little transparency for complainants to know whether their issue is being addressed. Administrators also face challenges in categorizing, prioritizing, and resolving grievances promptly due to scattered records and no centralized system for monitoring. As a result, many grievances remain unresolved or delayed.
Proposed System
The proposed Grievance Redressal System automates the complaint submission and resolution process using PHP and MySQL. Users can log in to submit grievances online, attach supporting documents, and track their status in real time. Administrators can categorize grievances, assign them to the appropriate departments, set resolution deadlines, and update the status as actions are taken. The system generates reports on grievances received, resolved, and pending, enabling better oversight and accountability. By providing a transparent, centralized platform, the system enhances efficiency, speeds up resolution, and improves trust between users and the organization.
