SOFTWARE Vulnerable in Python

Abstract:

In day today life software vulnerability is discovered in many applications. Software vulnerability cannot be completely resolved. Software vulnerabilities are defects or weaknesses in system design, implementation or operation management and can be used to break through security policies. Popular attacks such as buffer overflow, XSS and SQL injection exploit software vulnerability, thus attack detection attracted extensive investigation during the past decade. Research on software vulnerability has two broad areas: software vulnerability analysis and software vulnerability discovery. Software vulnerability analysis focuses on researching revealed software vulnerabilities to know individuality of vulnerabilities. Software vulnerability discovery tries to discover existing but unexposed vulnerabilities. Software vulnerability discovery techniques have developed from original pure manual discovery to computer assisted discovery, and moves towards fully automated direction. In this paper, we give brief idea on software vulnerability and taxonomy of software vulnerability detection techniques and research gaps.
